7.023 MHz is not the ideal QRP frequency in Noth America.

I did work my first QRP "DX" between Ottawa and Rochester NY during the late morning this past weekend.

My report was 559 with one watt using the Pixie. It appears that single hop propagation has the least path loss on 40 meters. With 100 watts output on my Collins 32S1, my report was 589 indicating a good path.

I have ordered some extra crystals for the Pixie including 7.030 MHz, the QRP calling frequency.
