When I tried to download the Rok Gallery phps file it is a successful
download but when I look at the code it is a 404 page for Robert's
site. The title is "Nothing found for Files Other Gallery_1 3 0
Phps". I would like to download the gallery and have a play with it,
but I can't seem to.
Any help much appreciated.

Hi cls.co.za,
Yeah I checked these posts out the issue I am having unfortunately is
the actual file that I download doesn't appear to be the correct code
for the module. It is a File not Found Page for Robert's Wordpress
site. All the links that I have tried from Robert seem to be doing the
same thing. So I am not sure if it is that the files are hosted on
Robert's site and they have been moved breaking the links or if the
files are hosted on pixie's site I am doing something weird when I
download them.

Thanks
Jaffa

Oh and here is a main gallery code:
http://beta.robert-kummer.de/files/other/gallery_1.3.0.phps

But i think i need more to work it because it isn't work

Thats what i done:
1.upload gallery.php to folder module
2.add lightbox to root/files/lightbox
3.make changes in lightbox like in instruction
4.add folder root/files/photos/ (with some pictures)
5. add module/plugin page (it was some error in "add page" because i
didn't see description of module)

And nothing .. blank page and no link to it on mainpage (i see that
page by paste url by fingers)

Any help? maybe i need more files?

btw. sorry for double post

Hi Jacek,
Cheers for the link, I have downloaded the code and having a look. While I was waiting for responses to my initial question I have been begun building my own Gallery module. Working on it offline at the moment so I can't show it to anyone, sorry. Early days yet anyway. At this point it loads the thumbnails into a page and lists them all, my main issue at this point is that I would like to be able to upload a fullsize image and then have a function I have resize this fullsize image into a thumbnail, but I have to work out where I could put this function in the module without having to hack the core pixie files.

Thanks
Jaffa

Hi All
It looks like Robert switched his site over... I have updated the
download link on the Pixie site so that all links up again.

Jaffa you might want to look at this: http://shiftingpixel.com/2008/03/03/smart-image-resizer/
as a way to provide image resizing after a file has been uploaded.
This is particularly useful as it leaves the original file untouched.

Do shout if you need help with the module.

Hi Scott,
Thanks for the update, and thanks for the Smart Image Resizer link, I had seen it but not really looked at it. Works a treat. Now I just have to complete the work on the module and get it working the way I would like.
Will let you know when I have something respectable.

Thanks
Jaffa

Hi Jacek,
Thanks for the files, will have a look at them and a play.
Will have a look at your test site later, at my real job now, and see what is going on.

Thanks
Jaffa

ok. I have all files. I did everything likie this:

- upload module
- set up a dynamic page in pixie admin with "gallery"
- upload your images to /files/photos/[gallery_name] folder
- now you need a htaccess file to get the thumbnails running
(http://beta.robert-kummer.de/files/packages/photos.zip -> extract
to /
files/photos)
- after this is done you have your [gallery_name] folder in the /
files/
photos and a ".htaccess" file and a folder called ".script"
- now you can create a file "descript.ion" which includes information
about the gallery

Now it looks like this:
http://www.colorart.pl/projekty/green/gallery/
aaaaaa text is from descript file
(Its totaly test page so don't look into it to deep;)

Any ideas? When i click on it i have 404

Have you looked at your .htaccess file. This is where the thumbnail is
"created". Try comment out the current one and use another i.e. the
black and white rather than the sepia. You never actually will have
the thumbnail image in the directory (if you look at the file list via
an ftp client) it is only show via the re-write (.htaccess)
