I'm having problems with my blog posts not showing up on the website.

From time to time I experience similar problems. Posts are being
stored in the database and you can see each entry in the admin area,
but they don't show up on the website immediately. In most cases it
take some time, 'till they are published.

I could not locate the problem yet, but Pixie's database handling is a
bit strange anyway (see my other post "Database Unavailable"). Let's
see, maybe Scott can make a suggestion.

I checked again, they have shown up now. How long does it normally
take for them to show up?

I had a simular issue when I was first turning up my site. In the
configuration options, I had set the time to central time (time zone
where I live). The server was located in mountain time though (hosted
service). The end result was that the posts would not show be visible
until exactly an hour later. I corrected this by changing my timezone
to match the server's time zone, not mine. Timing of the server being
an hour off from the time zone where I live was not critical to me.
There are other options, but this is probably the easiest without
involving user profile or .htaccess changes on a shared server. If it
is a private server, make sure the server timezone and Pixie settings
match to the time zone you want.

Hi All
Posts should show up as soon as you publish them providing the time is
left "as-is" when you create your post. As you are finding out, we
have had some problems with timezones and posts. Sam has been posting
up fixes for timezone related bugs into SVN - you can see the changes
here: http://code.google.com/p/pixie-cms/updates/list and you could
add those fixes to your install of Pixie if it becomes a big problem.

Hopfully that will fix it. With PHP5 setting timezones is much easier
and I think this is something I need to look at.
