Thank you for coming by the Portland Indie Game Squad table today. We are excited by your visting us, and we will be posting more information soon about upcoming game camps and labs for youths. We have three main priorities in the coming months:

1. Build a vibrant volunteer instructor and mentoring community.
2. Develop game design pathways for K-12 age youths.
3. Reach out to educators, public schools and home school groups to learn about their needs.

Our proposed first game camp will be two days over a weekend in January or February. Afterward, we will explore extending the camps to after school and in school programs. We are working hard at developing sponsorships so the camp can be accessible for familiies and youths.

We hope you'll join us in our community building. If you are interested in volunteering or helping with any of the above, please let me know.

Best wishes,

Wonderful to meet you guys! We spoke about your approaching my son's
school. Their Foundation - and PTA also - provide after school
enrichment programs and I think you'd fit right in. I'm sure my son
would be interested, and a number of his friends would be, too. Let
me know what I can do to facilitate that!!

Hi Theresa,

Great meeting you as well, and thank you for getting in touch.

I'd like to put together some materials and then arrange for a meeting first with a Foundation representative and then with the PTA.

We're coordinating with our instructors about the camp. I'll touch back with you soon about faciliting.

Best,

Jeffrey

Hi Jeff,
It was nice to meet you at the maker faire.
I have done a fair amount of pixel work and I think It would be alot of fun to teach some of what I know to kids.

Let me know how I can help and get involved -- I'm happy to work as a volunteer / counselor.
