pwomxplayer not working in terminal

hello!

Forgive me, I am new to Pi and so sorry if this is quite simple. I am also following the really excellent guide here: https://crt.gg/piwall/, but pwomxplayer is not working for me. When I run the command 

$ pwomxplayer --tile-code=41 udp://239.0.1.23:1234?buffer_size=1200000B

terminal just freezes. I am using Buster, I have triple checked all the dependencies (including copying libopenmaxil.so into the Pi), and I have routed the udp address into the correct port, so I'm not sure what could be going on here!  Anyone have any ideas?

Hello! Could you elaborate on "freezing"? If you press Ctrl+C does pwmoxplayer end? Typically after running pwomxplayer, its _listening_ for incoming traffic, so you wouldn't see any output until you run  ffmpeg -re -i piwall-test.mp4 -vcodec copy -f avi -an "udp://239.0.1.23:1234".
