Hi,

When I try to use PIVlab, I can get the GUI to open and upload a few images, but when I try to adjust anything/click in the GUI, it almost always stops responding. I managed to complete a full test analysis of about 4 images one time out of many attempts, but I had to wait at least 10 minutes between each thing I clicked.

I have a mid-2015 Macbook pro with Catalina 10.15.2, and have tried PIVlab 2.36.2 with both MATLAB r2019b and r2020a with the same results.

Thank you for any suggestions to help me speed up the program.

Hi, this is difficult to debug... If your Matlab subscription is still fresh, you might try to contact the Matlab support, maybe they are willing to help. Eventually a screen capture might help them understand?
Have you tried to resize the Pivlab window? Maybe pivlab is trying to adjust the size all the time...

I am unfortunately seeing the same problem. 2019b. 2015 worked just fine, but 2019b freezes up whenever I try to do anything with it now. Pretty strange.
It happens anytime I try to 'apply to all frames' or adjust any sliders. Changing PIV window size crashes PIVlab, using a velocity magnitude heatmap on more than one frame crashes, etc.
Anyone else experiencing this?

Hi, unfortunately, I can't help as I don't have access to a Mac system. The only chance would be to contact the Matlab support :(
