Hello!

I am having a problem when I try to analyze all frames. “Analyze current frame” produces excellent results. Without changing any of the image settings, I press “analyze all frames”. I get many errors in the terminal that say “Error: Could not validate vector data, too few valid vectors.” The exact frame that looked good when I analyzed it individually is full of erroneous vectors after “analyze all frames” is complete (along with every other image pair). The weird thing is when I again click “analyze current frame”, it does a much better job yet again. I am using Matlab version 2024a and PIVlab 3.0. Do you have any idea why this is happening?

Thanks so much!

2nd image: That same exact frame resulting from “analyze all frames”.PIVlab_screenshots.png

Hi, this seems like a strange error. Is there a reason why you use such an old version? The first thing I would recommend is to update to the latest version. Then, please try to reproduce this with a small amount of images that you should also send to me, so I can reproduce and fix the problem. I would need a description of what settings etc you are using.
All the best,
William

Hi William,

Version 3.0 had been working for me for years which is why I hadn't updated, but I just updated the version now and the bug is gone.

Thank you so much!!
Jenny
