Hello,
For ten years I’ve been building a network of active young women who are interested in progressive Democratic politics. I underwrite their participation in the EMILY’s List Majority Council conference. I’ve selected women from California, Arizona, Florida, and North Carolina.
EMILY’s List was created to elect pro-choice Democratic women by raising money for their campaigns, helping them build effective campaigns, and mobilizing women voters in support of all Democrats. Please look at their website, www.emilyslist.org for the most current information.
I’m looking for women between the ages of 18 & 30 who are socially active, have a long-term commitment to progressive pro-choice women’s issues and who want to be involved in politics.
I personally underwrite the annual membership of $1000 to the Majority Council which makes them eligible to attend the Majority Council conference in Washington D.C., April 16th and 17th 2007. Airfare, hotel, and conference fees are included. The young women selected must be available to attend the Majority Council conference.
Additionally, the women selected must be willing to conduct an EMILY’s List recruiting event, volunteer to work for Arizona List or an Arizona List campaign.
The Majority Council conference is a fabulous opportunity to meet Congresswomen, Senators, and other influential Democratic leaders. It’s very inspiring to experience what a powerful group of committed women can accomplish.
EMILY’s List has a new program, Campaign Corps, that recruits recent college graduates, teaches them campaign skills, and helps them find work on progressive Democratic campaigns. I’m looking for young women who may be interested in applying for Campaign Corps or want to be involved in helping elect progressive Democratic women.
I appreciate your attention to this. I am so proud of the young women I host every year and the way they interact with the Majority Council Members. I’ve established a very positive reputation at the conference because of all of the fabulous young women I bring to Washington D.C. I believe we need to inspire more young women to be involved in our government.
If you have interested students please have them E-mail their resume to p...@plgfree.com by March 15th. Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to talking with you.
Sincerely,
Pam Grissom
