1."Liberty" is large plenary and workshop room, when folks come off elevator, go right, meet registration tables in large hallway, doors to Liberty are to right of reg table. This room is largest, is equipped with many rolling meeting tables and rolling chairs. Easy to rearrange. Largest of the 3 rooms, probably seats 150.
Has podium, screen on a stage at left end on entrance to room. Projector is in room, but must bring own laptop to hook up, as using other parts requires County employee password. There's no problem doing lunch in this room, plenty of seating/tables. Labor Notes video could be run during lunch.
2. "Homestead Grays" is 2nd workshop room, has projector and screen , again need own laptop. Same setup w/tables/chairs.
3. "Rachel Carson" is 3rd workshop room, same as above. (One of those two has projector hanging from ceiling, not sure which, but there were meetings going on, so I couldn't examine for which one.
4. Parking arrangements, pull up to gate off Ft Pitt Blvd, push buzzer, announce self going to meeting, guard raises gate. CANNOT stay open, must do one car at a time.
5. Kitchen/lunch room: 5 vending machines includes pop/juice, snacks, candy, coffee. Room as 8 square tables with about 30 chairs if folks wish to eat in there or take breaks. One open/empty/functioning refrigerator w/top freezer and 2 microwaves.
6. Wastebaskets, service staff will try to remember to put extra bags as they know we're eating lunch and would appreciate it if we would drag most of the bags to loading dock beside parking lot as no one will be in to clean until Monday AM
7. Outside area, large outside eating area with tables/benches. Two other tables/benches in separate smoking area.
8 We should post a couple of signs in hallways downstairs directing folks to workshop rooms. I'll bring blue tape so we don't damage walls.
9. Easels. I noted that there were easels in at least one of the rooms, but would not assume that they will always be there. Bldg manager and I just spoke, she agreed, bring our own easels and pads.
10. I have 100 small notepads, folders, and name tags.
11. Pens???? I thought someone said they might be able to procure them from some source?? Is that happening??
Thanks
