Interesting, and don't know what this says about attendance, but I got a call from a teacher in Richmond, VA, making sure it was OK for her to come to school. Arranging own housing, etc.Day of thinking:1. We definitely need folks there early to move stuff around in rooms, especially plenary room, altho it should be easy given current setup. Many rolling tables that seat 6-8 with rolling chairs galore. But AV will need to be tested in plenary room right away.I think we already said we'd put all the LN lit in the plenary room at the rear so folks are always exposed to it, can get it during lunch, (eating in that room), etc. I think we should put FBP lit on same table, whatever we have.I suggest couple of other tables our in hall for general lit (not LN) that I'm sure some folks will be bringing. But I am personally opposed to letting various left groups set up a separate table selling lit, etc. I don't think anything should be sold here that's not LN or FBP. Thoughts??
2. I'm worried that registration could become a big bottleneck as it appears many will NOT be pre-registered. Say 50 come to register, at 2-3 minutes each, that's about 2 hours split between two registrars. Not good enough. I think we should plan on placing 3 or 4 at reg table and NO conversations, just hustle them thru. Thoughts and volunteers beside me and Marc??
3. Apparently other TM schools have done 50/50 raffles during event. Do we want to do that and draw at 4:30 or so? Do it instead at party, but that means folks have to stick around until end or we have to go thru slow process of writing names on tickets. Thoughts? If so, who's willing to take charge of that???
4. Working off LN logistics/day of items and our own experiences, this is what I will be bringing:6 clipboards1 cashbox for registration, with $100 in tens. (Sam, do you need me to find one for LN as well?2 staplers loaded3 long heavy duty ext cords3 powerstrips100 small notepads will be in reg folderssome cheap penssome trash bags (altho custodial said they'd try to put extras out)2 rolls of blue painters tape that leaves no residue on walls, don't use masking tape on walls.reg packets w/ pens and padsadhesive name tags, plenty.2 large donation containersOff the list, that leavesPens, 100??? need them for folders, someone said they could get them?3 flip charts and markers for same? AVailable from one of our local supporters?3 easels for same? same as above????A few wire hangers for hanging display of LN shirts/hoodies??
5. Have the other items to be stuffed into reg packets arrived at USW from LN. I'd like to get them stuffed and done asap.
6. I think we should steer non-locals in the direction of Market Square for dinner, which is the closest and easiest place for them to get to before party. I'll call and see if we can leave cars in lot until 6:30 or 7. It's just a few blocks down and 3 over. I'll print the street map, about 35 copies so they're available.
7. Any folks needing to use projector during workshops should probably go test during lunch to avoid glitches at start. We'll be running a tight schedule.

Some of it will not apply, but in case it is helpful I'm sharingAlso- Mark would like to do a power point presentation in his workshop. Is there a projector available? He will bring his own Macbook. We have one but it would be easier if there was already one in Pittsburgh. Also, we'd like to show a video in our Labor Notes presentation at lunch. The same projector could be used. But the only issue would be sound, could we get some speakers for the big room?
Thanks,
