Folks,
It looks like myself and a couple of folks from Bike-PGH will be putting on a try-a-bike picnic on Saturday, July 2.
We're hoping to get a nice wide variety of bikes: fixed gear, tall bikes, cargo bikes, unicycles, tandems, vintage 3-speeds, as well as modern stuff with less-common technology like belt drives, Rohloffs, etc. And, of course, bringing out some recumbent bikes and trikes would be a lovely thing...
We're still finalizing date and venue (although the cycling oval on Washington is looking promising), but, if anyone is willing/able to bring by a toy or three, and spend some time talking to people about them, that'd be spiffy. Demo rides are of course encouraged, but it is entirely at the discretion of the respective owners.
I'll likely bring my P-38 and my new-to-me M5 Carbon Highracer.
Details will be posted when nailed down.
