Subject: [DC Randonneurs] Rest In Peace Metin

 

At mile 220 of the Treasure Cove 1200k Thursday, Metin Uz of California had a fatal collision with a car.  Please join with me in a moment of prayer or silence to honor our fallen comrade.  I never met Metin, but I hear wonderful things about him.

 

I have few details about how this tragedy happened, and what I know indicates that the details may not be very salient in this situation.  What matters is that many lost a friend and family member.  Stay safe and keep riding, G
