Fw: 2025 Calvins Challenge date now set - May 17

Preliminary info is out on the 2025 Calvin's Challenge races.  It is the closest 12 and 24 hr races to Pittsburgh.  Last year had relatively small fields as the nominal event restarted after a number of years.  Perhaps 25 each in the 12 hr and 24 hr.

If you live in Pittsburgh, the easiest way to try out 12 or 24 hr races.  I suppose I rode my first Calvin's 12-hr circa 2005-2006, before I started randonneuring.  Back then, Calvin's was more of challenge for club riders.  This new version is more aligned with ultra racing.  The Calvins Challenge 24-hour non-drafting event will be a RAAM qualifier, if RAAM qualifying is on your bucket list.

The 2025 version will have Century, 6-hr, 12-hr, and 24-hr events - utilizing the original 50 and 7 mile loops. (The 26 mile course used in 2024 will not be used in 2025)

 

Categories for gender, age-group, all bike types, supported, and self-supported. Solo, and 2 thru 8 person teams.
