There are new posts on the PUSH site on census uninsured data on the states and the ACA or Obamacare.

Lloyd Stires has an excellent post on the effect refusal to expand Medicaid is having on the poor.

Great news about networking Julie.  The event is posted on the PUSH blog and Facebook page.  I added a video of Friedman speaking on single payer.  Also the PUSH PayPal account is setup and donations can be made there.  The site is linked to below.

Hi Team,

Great meeting last night!  Today, I emailed about 15 press reps (from Trib, CP, Post Gazette, KDKA, Pop City, Pitt News) about our Nov 19th event.  I also emailed about 75 Pitt professors across the political science, sociology, and economics departments, encouraging them to tell their students about the event and offer extra credit for attending.  I didn't email the school of social work, because I assume Bob and Elisabeth have that covered.

Some enthusiastic emails have started to trickle in, so I think we might get a nice student turnout!

Also, Healthy Artists was featured by GOOD Magazine's website.  Our article makes a case for why young, creative people across the US should lend their talents to single-payer:  http://www.good.is/posts/the-healthy-artists-project-why-we-need-better-health-care

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

-Julie
