I have fitted the Gasco on the back of the firewall to the RHS as with most 12's by the looks.  My concern is that when taking a ride with Mike last week (thanks again Mike, gees that's a fantastic aeroplane!!) it looks as if it would be a real struggle to clean the Gasco at service time?  Obviously someone has done this in the past, is there a trick to getting in there without imitating Houdini.  Just wondering whether an access door through the RHS panel may be a wise move, given I haven't seen a door on any of the builds I guess there must be access.  Do you have to take one of the panels off perhaps?

Also, for the paintball tank guys, do you use a regulator to bring the pressure down, I have mounted a 4500 PSI tank as a backup, so I either plumb it to start the machine (via a regulator) or use it to fill the main tank by regulating the airflow via the paintball tap and the pressure gauge, and then starting with the main tank as per normal procedures

Any thoughts

Regards

Rod

Rod,

I would assume all the side sheetmetal comes off for annual condition inspections, which then allows access to fuel system components. Same for non-scheduled maintenance or repair.

Also, HPA paintball tanks have built in regulators screwed in on top the bottles, normal output pressure is 800 psi.

Rod,
Access is by removing the right side forward side panel for the Gasco.  An access panel would need to be so large just take off the existing panel.
The paint ball tanks typically used have a built in regulator that limits the pressure to 800 PSI.
Hope this helps,

Thanks gents, I thought there was an obvious answer, however I wasn't sure how easy the forward panel was to remove once rigged etc
