GPSG Presents 2016 Fall Formal: Casino Night


GPSG is hosting its annual Fall Formal with a Vegas twist. Come join us for a night of casino games, dancing, drinks and hors d’oeuvres.


Friday, November 18th

7:30 PM – Midnight

Location: Saint Nicholas Cathedral

419 South Dithridge St.

Tickets: $20

Tickets to the evening include access to:

·      DJ + Dancing

·      Pittsburgh Popcorn

·      Photo booth

·      All you can eat appetizers

·      4 alcoholic beverage tickets

·      Expedited drink lines via 2 “express” bars with quick pick-up beer, wine, and spiked punch

·      Coat check

All Pitt graduate and professional students who provide a @pitt.edu email address; Each student may purchase 1 additional ticket for a guest. You must be 21+ to attend. Tickets will not be sold at the door. You must buy your ticket in advance via Eventbrite

Pitt Pharmacy APhA-ASP’s Annual Get Smart Week 2016: Antibiotic Stewardship in Pennsylvania


Friday, November 18, 2016 in the O’Hara Student Center from 12:00 PM – 1:30PM.

Learn about factors that drive drug-resistant bacteria in long-term and acute care facilities as well as the state response to antimicrobial resistance. The 2016 Get Smart Competition winners will also be announced at this event!

Wednesday, November 16, 2016 from 4:00 – 6:00PM in the O’Hara Student Center Ballroom.


Join us for a discussion with Larry E. Davis, Dean of the School of Social Work and Director and founder of the Center on Race and Social Problems on his recent book, “Why Are They Angry With Us? Essays on Race”.


In this collection of essays, Dean Davis uses his personal experience and his professional training to examine the experience of being black in America.


Vice Provost of Graduate Studies Alberta Sbragia will serve as moderator for the evening.
