To all orienteers and potential orienteers:

Attached is the 2010 schedule for WPOC; it includes one new event type
and one opening.  The new event is the first one; it is a mini-rogaine
at Raccoon Creek State Park.  This is an endurance event, frankly aimed
at adventure racers, ultra runners, and trail runners; however everyone
is welcome, although the short course is 3 hours.   It will use a
4-color map (almost no green - it wasn't field checked for vegetation)
that covers 22 sq km. This is approximately five times the size of our
largest other area.  Go to the website www.wpoc.org to find out more.
The opening is in late October; I would like to find another meet to put
in there but don't have one at the moment.

If you are like me (I've been homebound for weeks because of the
weather), you are ready to start planning to get out and do things.  I
hope to see you at several of these events.
