Next Week's Winter Clinic

Hey guys,

 

Just a reminder and last call for next week's Winter Survival and SAR Session!  Please email Dan (doan....@medstudent.pitt.edu) if you're interested in joining.  It's free and fun!

 

Here's the description from the original email.  We will be meeting at the Pavillion at the bottom of Frick Park at 11 AM on Saturday, February 13.

 

"On Saturday February 13th, WMS will be having it's first ever Winter Survival and Search and Rescue Session!  We'll be going over some skills that'll help you in the bitterest of colds, including fire-building, shelter-building, cold-water immersion, and navigation.  We'll also be going over some wilderness medicine and talk about things like hypothermia, frostbite, carriers, and rescue techniques.

 

We'll meet in the Pavillion in the valley of Frick Park.  We'll also be barbecueing some food to keep our bellies warm."

 

So far I have Ellie H, Sergio H, Laura G, Ben S, Bailey R, and myself.
