or
Are you:
-Male between the ages of 18-35?
-Recreationally active?
-Have a history of an ankle sprain with at least one additional ankle
sprain on the same ankle?
-Have episodes of ankle “giving way” or feeling “unstable”?
-No ankle sprains on either ankle in previous month?
The School of Health and Rehabilitation Science, Department of Sports
Medicine and Nutrition is conducting a research study looking at the
relationship between ankle questionnaires and their ability to
identify balance deficits in people who have sprained their ankles
compared to those who have never sprained their ankles. You will be
asked to complete 4 ankle questionnaires and perform 2 jumping-landing
tasks. Testing, which will take about 90 minutes, will take place at
the Neuromuscular Research Laboratory (3830 South Water Street,
Pittsburgh, PA 15203, down the street from the South Side Works).
Subjects completing the study will receive a monetary compensation.
Please contact Jon Pederson at the Neuromuscular Research Laboratory
