2. Acid peels, that, quite frankly, are a puzzle to us. Let's see your going to take an acid and put it on my skin. Take a layer or two of the skin off and that will help stop my acne? There just is no proof these peels work and we believe in the long run they actually harm your body's immune system and make acne worse. In fact, we're totally not sold on the rage over low pH soaps. They don't properly clean your skin. Which leaves embedded dirt particles where the bacteria hide.
3. Antibiotics: the bacteria that causes acne are ubiquitous. There are too many of them. They can't all be killed and it can be argued it isn't healthy to try, long term. In fact, any drug can be dangerous if used long term.
4. Ointments: Stay on your skin ointments are the mainstay of the acne industry. These work well at first. But eventually the bacteria that causes acne move deeper into the skin to avoid these constant ointments. This is why we believe deep cystic acne has become such a big problem since the introduction of these creams.
5. So Called All Natural treatments: They really aren't all natural. The preservatives they use, just like us, are not natural. Yes there is some evidence they do work AT FIRST. But most of this comes from the acid nature of their treatment. You'll get the same results from using cider vinegar and an exfoliant for a while. No products on the market have the long term track record our products do. Read a 100 or so of our feedbacks.
Why do teens get such terrible acne? Their skin chemistry is the perfect environment for the bacteria that causes acne. These bacteria grow wildly. Similar to an adult woman when her time of the month arrives. Yet it's like that all the time. As we hit 19 or 20 our skin chemistry normally changes and our body can better fight these acne infections. Usually our skin will clear.

What is Backne? Webster's defines it as (just kidding) Back acne

I've never actually had facial acne, just a few pimples here and there (which, needless to say, are completely gone). however, my back was a totally different story -- since I was a teenager, I've had terrible "backne." I have literally avoided showing my back for years, which of course makes wearing swimsuits almost impossible. I'm almost 2/3 through my bottle, which at first I thought was suspicious, until I realized my husband (who has no acne, but a mild case of seborrheic dermatitis) was using it as well (just on his face), and... again, the results are wonderful! not as dramatic as the change on my back, but still, it's working beautifully for him. we both love the lotion and cream as well.

BACKNE?
It's going great! I was opptomistic before I even started that Carley's would work for my face... And it did! My face is totally clear. But I was VERY surprised and pleased at the results I've had with my back acne. NOTHING has ever put a dent in it until now! Not only has it improved my severe back acne, but it's about 80% GONE! And it continues to improve every day.

Hi, I just wanted to thank you for these products! My daughter is 13 and a swimmer. As you can imagine, swimming every day in the Florida heat with a swim cap covering her forehead, and the sunscreen on her cheeks gives you nothing short than a recipe for some serious acne! I use the soap teen kickass scrub and the day time moisturizer. My skinis restored and dewy looking after use. Even if I miss using it I am still clear! unlike other products I have used this really heals your skin. Even my 12 year old is acne free thanks to this. I was taking her to the derm and they had her on antibiotics and cream but she still had bad breakouts. Now she is clear and very happy! This has changed my life I can now wear whatever I want and not worry about my back or chest having ugly scars and acne on it. I am ACNE FREE now.

Carla bought 10 bottles last November. most people get 3 to 4 months out of a bottle.
I am deployed in Iraq right now and had my year supply of Industrial strength clear and smooth and a bunch of people bought the 8 bottles off of me cause everyone's skin is either dry or broken out from this place. Clear and smooth is the new crack over here. If u sent extra samples and i throw them in a box for people in the Tactical Operations Center you could be getting a ton of customers soon. I just want to say thanks for keeping my skin looking good for almost 4 years.

OK, WHAT INGREDIENTS ARE NOT IN YOUR PRODUCT? WHY?
Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Coco-betaine and about a dozen more. All soapy products are made with these artificial soaps.
All are artificially derived from palm oil and are actually just like detergents you wash your clothes with rather than real soap and they can be an irritant for many people (especially for people with broken skin!). They also strip important nutrients out of your skin. We refuse to use artificial soaps (the manufacturers 'call' these products 'natural', but what they are is artificial.). We use only Natural soaps. It's a little more trouble, but since we replaced all those artificial soaps, our return rate dropped dramatically.
PARABENS: methylparaben, propylparaben, and others
More and more people are finding they are allergic to these preservatives. For some people this allergy mimics acne. In other words for some people these preservatives actually cause what exactly looks like acne acne. If you see a lot of redness between the blemishes, this could be apart of your problem. We use more expensive Non-paraben preservatives.
Lanolin
This is made from the Sebaceous Glands of Sheep (that should be good enough to not use it) plus many people are allergic to it.
Anti-foaming agents, silicones:
These chemicals make production easy. No foaming to worry about as the bottles are filled(our bottles have to be hand topped off after settling). But these anti-foaming agents, though not dangerous, leave a film on your body. You just won't believe how clean our products make your skin feel. We often get emails after their first treatment, surprised at how good this Clear & Smooth feels to use.
Dangerous Prescriptions
All that other stuff with all the side effects. NONE OF THAT!
Mineral Oil
This is made from petroleum by products, cheap and is in almost everything.
Animal By-products
Sorry this has to be said. The word 'by-products' means those parts not used for anything else. Usually this includes the brain and spinal cord tissue.
Salicylic Acid, Glycolic acid, Chemical peels
These chemicals strip important nutrients out of your skin that our product adds to help your skin heal. We don't use them and we especially don't recommend you use them with our product.
Red Dye #2, or any other artificial coloring
You've already heard all the crazy stuff about these colorings and supposedly what kind of troubles they can cause. We just don't use any. Our product comes in it's natural color, BEIGE. Period.
Triclosan: HUH? what the heck is that? Antibacterial ingredient used in many products today, that call themselves healthy.

Dozens of toothpastes sold at supermarkets are at the centre of a cancer alert today.
Anti-bacterial cleaning products, including dishwashing liquid and handwash, are also affected.
Researchers have discovered that triclosan, a chemical in the products, can react with water to produce chloroform gas. If inhaled in large enough quantities, chloroform can cause depression, liver problems and, in some cases, cancer.
Phthalates: This is another ingredient used to preserve smells for extended periods of time. and this stuff is fat soluble which means it hangs around in our bodies. Not good. Let's face it manufacturers make a lot of concessions making products to last for years and years. But at least it should be a requirement these ingredients are listed on the label. We ship everything fresh. No need to use this kind of ingredient.
