Dear all,
I am happy to announce two PIR Soc events happening this week:
1) Understanding the Research Process
Wednesday, 13th of March, 3pm - 5pm, Meadows Lecture Theatre (William Robertson Wing)
As part of the PIR+ series two members of staff, Dr. Pontus Odmalm and Dr. Claire Duncanson, will be offering insights into their current research, their methods and approaches.
The topics are: 'Using party manifestos in political analysis' and 'Military Masculinities: identifying constructions of gender identity in soldier's autobiographical reflections of war'
2) SPS Societies Pub Quiz!!!
Thursday, 14th of March, 7pm - 9pm, ROOM AT 34 (32-34 Potterrow, Edinburgh)
Imagine our Leviathan Pub Quiz only bigger and even better! This time we will be joined by Sociology Society and Social Anthropology Society; questions will be mainly on Politics and International Relations, however, there will be one round on Sociology and Social Anthropology too. Look forward to exciting prices!
Entry will be £2 per person. Groups can consist of 2 to 5 persons. All proceeds go towards the SPS Ball and our next Leviathan issue. (If you haven't got latest issue yet, just speak to one of our Committee members at our next event and we will make sure you get one!)
Looking forward to seeing you all soon!
Have a good week,
Valerie Greitens
