So I personally ran into this issue when permasigning one of my animanga apps - for the longest time I couldn't restore an existing backup to it. I found out that the reason for it is that when you permasign an app, Apps Manger will not detect it, so all created backups you try to restore will just fail with an unrelated error, even if it looks like it detects which app the backup belongs to

So here's the fix: Download Flex 3 beta and install the patch "Show all apps", by elhizazi. Make sure you aren't disabling tweak injection in Choicy or other tweak disablers when you do this. If Apps Manager crashes for whatever reason, only enable Flex 3 beta in Apps Manager (although from my experience, you just have to make sure tweak injection isn't fully disabled)

after Splunk version upgrade (some time ago, I'm sure) there is a new directory on the Index Cluster Master called manager-apps but the old one called master-apps is still there as well

I know why Splunk did this, the question is how are things handled moving forward?

all of my old apps are still under master-apps, does this mean they will stay there and if I create any new cluster apps I need to create them under manager-apps now?

You can enable App Autoscaler to automatically scale your apps. For information about how to configure App Autoscaler to scale an app automatically, see Configure autoscaling for an app in Scaling an App Using App Autoscaler.

I have installed the Avid MC First package includng the application manager and have rebooted, however the appliaction manager seems to stick on 'initialising' for a very long time and then hangs. is there something i can do to speed this up?

Very frustrating... the avid App manager is not something I would be happy with as a long time avid user (since 1995). I realise that the company has to protect itself from pirating and such but this does put you off.

Do you have Pro Tools installed? I THINK opening the full version of Pro Tools (with an iLok connected) contributed to my originally working MC First and App Manager reverting to MC \ First failing and requiring me to go to App Manager. The App manager then failing to initialise.

Still not working - just spins on initialising until it says 'this version of Avid can't be licensed by the application manager, please go to the store. I can confirm I only have Avid Media Composer First installed - not the one thta needs to be paid for...

Tried to install, and it said I needed Adobe Application Manager. Downloaded that, and unzipped and installed it. Tried to install the update again, got same message stating that I need to reinstall app manager.

7. Launch Adobe Application Manager and let it update itself multiple times until it becomes Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app and is stable. (Note that your CS6 apps will not appear in the Creative Cloud app but that's ok)

You can access the app using VPN or a transit gateway and within the private space. Because the apps run on worker nodes, they cannot be accessed directly over the internet. The URL to access a TCP app has this structure: application-url.tcp.environment.cloudhub.io:port

This interface allows you to deploy applications with the Phusion Passenger application server. A Phusion Passenger server functions as a process manager, reverse proxy, and provides operations tools to its users.

Crowdsource Manager, a companion configurable application template to data collection apps such as Crowdsource Reporter, allows users within an organization to review problems or observations submitted through the Reporter application. The application can be used on tablets and desktop computers.

VA providers and other VA staff can use this toolkit to raise awareness about and promote the use of the Virtual Care Manager app. Outreach materials for other apps can be found in the Connected Care Promotional Toolkit Directory.

Productivity apps for managers are lifesavers for anyone with a team to manage. These management tools make everyday repetitive tasks easier to handle through automation. In fact, any manager will tell you that the biggest challenge they face is trying to achieve efficiency and bring out the best in their teams regardless of sector.

Management productivity tools, when chosen right, can make a significant positive difference for managers. That said, there are too many tools out there, and it's easy to be bogged down by all the shiny features they offer. However, we've simplified the process for you by outlining 10 apps that make life easier for managers. Before we get into that, why do you need management tools?

Although active supervision is essential, especially in manufacturing, distribution, and construction industries, most managers simply don't have enough time to do it. We can attribute this to the numerous administrative and repetitive tasks that catch up with frontline management. Indeed, with management apps, frontline managers can get rid of these repetitive tasks.

Part of the apps available to management are instant messaging apps, video conferencing, and brainstorming tools. Such tools enable managers to communicate to employees in real-time while proactively addressing issues.

With the complex ecosystem that is Industry 4.0, managers need to keep track of everything. From SOPs to compliance to employee engagement, there's a lot of information and data to handle. Trying to handle all these documents and data manually would be cumbersome, but with technology, managers can keep an eye on everything with just a few clicks.

Because of access to data, easy communication, best practices, and SOPs, implementing new projects or processes is streamlined. With management tools, managers can analyze data quickly, seek feedback, and ensure their teams' overall health and performance.

Choosing an app should be based on the user's needs and not the decision-maker's. For instance, a frontline manager would lean more towards tools that enable real-time communication and tracking of daily activities. On the other hand, executive managers would prefer tools that give them quick overviews and forecasts.

Most people, including managers, like to work in ways that are familiar to them. When introducing new management tools, they need to be flexible to adapt to your company's best practices and way of working. You also have to consider how to bridge your company's generation gap when introducing a new tool or app. This may mean providing documentation for support or adapting your vocabulary when coaching others.

All apps that become part of your management tools should reduce technical and administrative inefficiencies. In the wave of Industry 4.0 (and Industry 5.0), the ecosystem is dynamic, employee preferences have shifted, and new management models are taking root. For this reason, tools should focus on prioritization and inspiring innovation.

Now that we have that covered, which apps should you consider as a manager? Whether you manage an office or a production unit, here are 12 tools to boost your productivity in 2023. (In fact, we use most of them here at Proaction International.)

Beekeeper is a mobile communication and employee management platform for businesses. As one of the best team management apps, it brings together in a single application all the elements needed by frontline employees: internal chat, publishing management messages via different channels, managing work schedules and leave requests, assigning tasks, surveys, integrating new employees, managing documents and procedures, etc. This operating system helps retain talent, improve frontline employee engagement and productivity through better communication between teams, while improving the performance of the organization using it.

Beekeeper is an optimal solution for a variety of industries such as retail, manufacturing, hospitality, or healthcare for example.

Pros

If you are looking for time management apps, you should definitely consider Clockify. Whether you manage a hospital floor or an upscale downtown office, time tracking software is a must-have for every manager. Clockify fits the bill for hybrid teams that want to track employee time, identify gaps in time management, and improve overall productivity.

Common management app features include task and project management, team collaboration tools, file sharing and storage, time tracking, calendar integration, customizable dashboards and workflows, integration with other apps, progress and performance tracking, reporting and analytics, budget tracking and resource management, and communication tools like chat or messaging. Additionally, some management apps may offer specific features for industries, such as inventory management or sales pipeline tracking for business management apps, or clinical documentation management for healthcare management apps. The features offered by management apps may vary depending on the app, and some may offer more advanced features or automation tools to help streamline workflows.
