I installed gpu-screen-recorder yesterday, along with gtk version from the aur repository, but whatever audio source I add it doesn't capture any sound. I use Nvidia GTX 1650 Super with proprietary drivers. Is this fault of the gpu?
Each audio is in its own audio track in the video, which is why you dont hear the other audio inputs unless you switch to them. gpu screen recorder gtk has been updated now to have an option (that is enabled by default) to only use 1 audio track.
There is now also an option to select the "default output", so you dont have to know the name of the audio device that you are using.
I just upgraded from 20.04 to 22.04 on a Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15ITL05. I wanted to use the new screen recorder, so I pressed PrtSc, which brought up the normal options. The screenshot function seems to be working fine, but when I choose to record, the symbol at the top of the screen pops up for a split second, then vanishes and nothing happens. So, we just acquired Studio and I also encountered this problem where I was repeatedly being asked to download the screen recorder. In my case the issue was that the recorder was still open (but notrecording) in the background from the previous screencast I had aborted.
I've been having this problem. It didn't ask me to download, but I'd just downloaded it on my laptop when I got that message, so I copied and ran it on my desktop. It gave me the same "Ready to record, go back..." message, but doesn't open at all when I click on record webpage. I can still record a webcam, just not my screen, which makes it way less useful.

Is the MacBook new or used? It looks like a legitimate app, but you can never tell for sure. I find no recorder app by that name on the web, but it's "real" name may not be exactly what's reported by Apple. Do you have any suspicious apps in the Application folder? Things you're not sure what they're for.
My company bought it for me. But as far as I am aware no tracking software is installed. The mac is brand new, I will try to see, maybe some other apps have tracking enabled. Although I literally disabled all the screen recording options in settings for all of the apps :( didn't help
You should totally add on a screen recorder block that allows you to record what is happening in the app, and while you're playing it. I would like it because that would make making videos for class and youtube on it much easier.
For the purpose you describe, the screen recorder would not normally be part of the App you wish to record. It would instead be a services App, run at the same time to record your App. Most Smartphones already have this built-in, but you can also use one of many available on Google Play Store.
You wouldn't be adding a recorder to all your Apps though, better to use the phone's recorder or a 3rd party services app. Screen recording can be a burden, requires memory for recording and storage at high speed.

My screen recorder function stopped working. When I press the button, it simply takes me to the home screen instead of the usual pop-up that asks whether I give permission to use the camera or microphone.
I've taken it to 3 different Verizon stores. They reset my settings but could not fix the issue. They told me to go to Samsung-authorized Geek Squad at Best Buy and they said they couldn't help me either. Everyone keeps advising me to download a 3rd party app if I want to screen record but I want to figure out what the problem is. Some of them said it must have been a recent update that affected it but my mom bought the same phone as me at the same time and she is able to screen record just fine.
