Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce the launch of another Corporate Citizenship initiative - Siemens Scholarship for Engineering students. Under this initiative, Siemens would provide financial support to deserving students who lack the economic means, to pay for their tuition fees, allowances for books, stationery and related expenses. Additionally, it includes a holistic development plan for the Scholars. As a responsible Corporate Citizen, Siemens Limited endeavors to support and promote technical education.
During the financial year 2013-14, we intend to offer limited scholarships and have spread the message in around 40 government engineering colleges located across Maharashtra, Goa and Gujarat. Depending on the success in the first year, we plan to scale it up in the future.
The eligibility criteria for Siemens Scholarship:
· First year students of Government Engineering colleges from the following streams: - Mechanical - Electrical - Electronics / Instrumentation - Electronics & Telecommunication - Information Technology / Computer Science · Age: Up to 20 years · Annual family Income: Not more than Rs. 2 lakhs · SSC: Minimum 60% aggregate · HSC or equivalent result: Minimum 50% aggregate and minimum 60% PCM aggregate · JEE Main / State CET: Minimum 45%
