There is a library called libdjinterop (github page: ), which can be used to read/write the format used by Engine Prime and Prime-series equipment. Disclaimer: I am the author of that library and am in the process of integrating it into Mixxx.
This library could be expanded to support other file formats, such as the one used by Rekordbox, if someone was willing to spend time to reverse-engineer the format, and/or write C++ code for the library to interact with a Rekordbox DB. We could then leverage off the existing integration between Mixxx and libdjinterop that is being developed now.
I really appreciate your approach of using modern C++ for the code and to provide standalone library that does not depend on any UI framework like Qt. Reducing dependencies will greatly improve reusability!
The domain model is much more sophisticated than what we currently have in Mixxx with faceted tags and multi-valued fields. I also tried to adopt ideas from Engine Prime and rekordbox to prepare for interoperability. A prototypical implementation for exporting tracks from Mixxx into this new service (including cue points and loops) and to display the results of prepared queries is already available:

It is intended for Djays that use MIXXX as their main Djaying tool at home and want a quick and simple way to export their Library (including hotcues, Colorcoding, Playlists and Crates) to Pioneer Rekordbox so they can take all their work from MIXXX to the big stage and use it in Clubs and Venues on Pioneer Equipment.
