Windows Dark Mode [V2.1.2]

From googling it appears Pinta has dark themes
I am using Win11 with Dark Mode but Pinta is still running in Light Mode. 
Am I missing something? or is this a bug?

Pinta uses GTK themes, so a dark theme can be applied by either
switching to a different theme or setting the

setting to prefer using a dark variant of the current theme, if
available.
I don't have any experience setting this on Windows, but from some
googling you could try following https://stackoverflow.com/a/39041558
and https://unix.stackexchange.com/a/24071 to set the
gtk-application-prefer-dark-theme=true in the GTK settings.ini config
file

I'm not too surprised that GTK3 isn't following the Win11 dark mode
setting, but this may change with the upcoming port of Pinta to GTK4
which is more up to date. On macOS at least, the GTK4 version picks up
the system light / dark mode settings in my testing
