Help with identifying year this model was produced

Hi there

I am looking to buy a model which is 2021 or later (as that's when I read they changed the design so that the length can be easily adjusted for storage or different rider heights).

I saw this bike pop up on my local classifieds.  Seller says it's a 2016, but I am skeptical, and think it looks look a newer model (beige color, and small design things). I am not an expert though, and would greatly appreciate your clarification! thanks

It's definitely not the latest frame design. Since the picture doesn't show the timing chain side, I can't tell if it has the self-adjusting timing chain.    As to the actual production year,  don't get fixated on the color.  Customers could (and may still be able to)  order  custom colors.
