When you import dicom images they are grouped in a file name like ImageSet_0.img. After that, if you don't have the original DICOM images is no possible to export images.
Is there any possibility to extract DICOM images from the ImageSet_0.img easily?

Thanks in advance

You cant “extract” because they aren’t stored inside the file, the .img files are just pixel values. To go back to DICOM, you have to write software to create new DICOM files from the data in the ImageSet_#.* files.

I don't know what you  really want.

There are two places you can find the original DICOM images: DICOM server  /autoDataSets/DIOCM;  Patient's directory if you already imported into Pinnacle.

The new DICOM server no longer uses  xxx.img,  now it is some thing like xxx.dcm

If you already imported and deleted DICOM images from the DICOM server, you still can find them, they are located at

/pinnacle_patient_expansion/NewPatients/Institution_xxxx/Mount_0/Patient_xxxx/ImageSet_0.DICOM

You just need to find out where this patient located in Pinnacle.

You can open that patient's plan and export these DICOM imags to where ever you want as far as you have destination setup in Pinnacle.

Pinnacle just makes a copy of DICOM images and save in patient's directory.

We created new DICOM files as you are explaining but it's a bit complex because you must use another software. Is it sure that Pinnacle can't do it?

thanks in advance.

What software did you use to convert Pinnacle ImageSet_0.xxx to DICOM files?

Thanks,
Kevin
