Hello all,

I am in need of some help. I am trying to export a plan and I get a warning that says:

 

“Set value from string: study description (8,1030): invalid value for this tag’s VR”

 

I have check names in ROI’s, POI’s, Beam names, trial name, plan name and Pt. Demographics but it still wont transfer!

Any ideas?

DICOM element (0008,1030) is Study Description, and its VR is LO, which is a long string.  these can have a length up to 64 characters.  Perhaps there is some non-printing or other illegal character in it?  It is illegal to have a backslash or any control character other than an escape in such a string.

I removed all excess info from Pt. demographics and that seemed to work.

The plan name is too long. It should have no more than 15 characters.
