Hi,
I have this weird problem. Same plan open under two identical
LINACs shows two different X1,X2 ( off by a cm).
Any one knows why it happens ?
Thanks in advance,
Ray

Can you clarify?
Same machine name with old vs current or are you changing machines on
an existing plan/trial?
By 'identical' do you mean the same configuration in physics?
Cheers,
Sam

Hi Rahul,

We recently noticed the same problem in Pinnacle v9.0.

When switching machines in an IMRT-plan (DMPO, step-and-shoot), the position of the Top/Bottom jaws is changed by as much as 1.0 cm. The Top/Bottom jaw positions seem to be rounded up to the nearest integer. This behavior is reproducible and occurs in every IMRT plan (as far as I can tell, I performed a survey on 5 plans). Additionaly, when changing back to original machine, the changes persist and the original jaw settings are lost.

The machines in question have identical collimators (Elekta with MLCi), and are commissioned as such in Pinnacle.

We intend to contact Philips about this issue. I recommend you would the same.

We detected this issue when testing Pinnacle 9 before installation at
least one year ago. We never used "switch machine" from Beam Window.
Hope it is solved in Pinnacle 9.2

Hello,

This is why 9.2 is a mandatory upgrade. Philips did not contact you about this issue?

Hugo
