What do y'all think about giving a group chat a whirl? And...did I cross the line?

Hey gang,

Kind of, but not entirely Pinko, we are working with Tangler on their group chat and I want to see how well it works for a group like ours.

If you aren't down with that, no biggie, but if you want to be part of the Pinko Marketing group, I'll be sending some invites out. If you absolutely don't, just drop me a personal line:

horse...@gmail.com

I just thought it would be a useful tool for our group discussions. This is where it gets murky. I would probably use Tangler anyway and invite people as an experiment, but now we are being paid to build community around it...where do I cross the line?

I dont think you are crossing the line. You have opened the lines of
conversation in FD mode ..that's all , that really matters to me !! --
everyone needs to make money, no harm in that.
Being truthfull and open is entirely intergrity !!

If the product meets the expections of the community or not will be
left to the community to decide..

are invites under an nda clause ? :)-

Indeed - I think the disclosure makes it okay :) I kind of expect and look forward to seeing you and Chris try out the products and services that you're working with. It lets us in on what's going on, and also gives us a glimpse at who's clued-in enough to hire you folks :)

Given that it is a group tool I guess there can be no harm done. I
guess what most people would object to is being used as a test-bed for
all CA projects.

Tara, by the way, i loved your piece on community health. A bit of a
dichotomy given the free and open nature of community marketing but a
crucial consideration if the old men in suits are to be convinced that
"there is another way"!

I also think that the disclosure is enough.
And, regarding the philosophy of Citizen Agency, hearing that a tool
from your *customers* is proposed to Pinko Marketers for testing sounds
like an exciting news and opportunity!
I'm eager to try it and share my feedback :)

So does that mean that people should feel free to share their projects with the group?

Amen to that T.

Heard about Conceptshare some time ago but moved away from online so
never kept track of things Great ideas Scott...something with real
value and HUGE potential professional credibility.
