That last post made me want to know .....what is sincere?

IS there anything that is sincere anymore?

Can there be sincerity online ...when at the end of the day the goal is to sell something?

cheers

yes, the customer is sincere and the goal should is *not* to sell the
customer anything.. rather that the customer creates value for the
product themselves . That can only happen, when you "sincerly"
listening !!

90% of conversation is listening, 9% is nodding the head and 1% is
actaully speech :)-

Ok ....i didn't mean selling as in "haha i pulled one over on that guy"

that is the stuff that gives sales a bad name. but at the end of the day ....customers have to buy ...companies sell.

cheers

I think that point that I was driving at-- was to the question;

"IS there anything that is sincere anymore? , Can there be sincerity
online "

Once again, yes sincerity can be found online, if one listens and its
not about a sale at all !!

Good question. I thought I had a take on it and wrote a bunch but at
the end came up with only this additional question:

If you create a demand for your product to where you don't have to sell
it simply because people already want it, are you being insincere?

Not to mention the fact that if someone doesn't put their money into
supporting your company, they're going to put it into supporting
someone elses. Maybe your company is more sincere, maybe the other
company is more sincere.

Scott,

Can you expand some more on what you are talking about here? What is
the nature of the dearth of sincerity that you are witnessing
(presumably online)?
