Columbia Records will release a deluxe expanded edition of David
Gilmour's best-selling solo album, "On An Island," on Tuesday, November 21.
The new edition of "On An Island" will include Gilmour's Top 10 album in
its entirety _plus _an exclusive DVD of live material capturing the Pink
Floyd guitarist's April 2006 AOL Sessions in New York in six mesmerizing
tracks: "On An Island," "This Heaven," "Smile," "Take A Breath," "High
Hopes," and "Comfortably Numb."
The DVD also premieres a rare new take (Abbey Road Session August 2006)
on Syd Barrett's "Astronomy Domine" (from Pink Floyd's 1967 debut album,
