So the three main views for the site for now are up in the files
section.
Will be meeting later today to discuss the tech side of things in
greater detail.
Any feedback is very welcome.

This looks fairly standard. There are probably some creative commons
licensed templates out on the web that already do this.
Take the Tour:
- I would put the Glossary Area area underneath the main panel. Also,
a bit more detailed than the step we're at, but glossary explanations
should be free of terminology. People without a bio background, or
who weren't paying attention in high school, may not know what "lyses"
means for instance; "destroys" works just fine. Basically people
shouldn't have to go to a second glossary page to understand what the
first one means.
- Why are the side panels so large? What purpose do they serve that
justifies taking up so much space? Are they necessary at all?
- I assume you're going to come up with better names for the slide
labels... ;P
- Title: "Take the Tour - The Pink Army Story" should be large.
What is Pink Army:
- Again, why is Glossary at the top? If you put it at the bottom, and
have the main section as a scrolling frame, you can also make the side-
bars longer...
- "Become a Member" above the "Calendar" is superfluous and
conspicuous. You already have it in two other more logical places on
his page.
- Do you really think you can fit both "Calendar" and "News Feed" into
one side bar? Doing this in a way that doesn't create visual clutter
will be a challenge!
Beyond these observations, I highly recommend you (Ali) do some user
testing. Get maybe 3 or 4 people who haven't seen the site yet (and
haven't heard of pink army), and you can even use print-outs of these
pages. Just simple conceptual questions at this point: like show them
the splash page and ask "what do you think this site is about?",
"where do you think link X will take you?", "what would you click to
find Y piece of information?"... then you can take them to the other
pages and ask "is this what you expected?" and such. 30 minutes per
participant will probably be more than enough, and audio recordings of
the testing is recommended!
cheers!

How about 5 seconds per person? ;-)
