LAN addresses

I was having problems with a printer on my home network. I tried Ping & Net to check the lan connection but it failed to find it. I then tried several other addresses including my router and it wouldn't ping any LAN address. Pinging "Amazon.com" no problem. Am I missing something to use on my LAN?

It may well be that the Subnet Scan fails to find it (it can't reliably detect all devices), but in my experience most devices on the local network respond to pings. That not even the router would respond is strange indeed (although any given device may decide not to respond, if none does, it raises at least eyebrows). Unfortunately, I can't offer any advice on what to check.
