Hi all,

Just a reminder about upcoming meetings of the Pine Hills Neighborhood Association (PHNA) and the Midtown Pine Hills Committee (MPHC):
  • PHNA on Thursday, May 18th at 7pm at the Pine Hills Branch Library (517 Western Ave) -  features a visit from Assemblywoman Pat fahy and a discussion on the Albany LEAD program (Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion).  As a reminder, participation in PHNA meetings is no longer available via zoom. However, our meetings are recorded and can be viewed through our website.
Assemblywoman Pat Fahy will discuss recent events and her efforts in the NYS Assembly, and will take questions. You can read her most recent newsletter here.  Bob Ward, Co-Project Manager for the Albany LEAD  program, will talk about this program and how it works.  LEAD is a diversion approach for those involved in the criminal justice system because of addiction, mental illness, and poverty, diverting individuals to a community-based, harm reduction intervention for violations driven by unmet behavioral health needs. You can find out more about Albany LEAD here.
  • MPHC on Monday, May 22nd at 6:30pm on Zoom - we will discuss recent and upcoming events and projects along with updates.  If you have not already received a Zoom link from me, please reach out to PHIGPi...@gmail.com.
Also, I am stepping back from chairing the Midtown Pine Hills Committee as of June 30th.  I will continue to advocate for Midtown Pine Hills and will remain on the Board of PHNA.  However, unless someone steps forward to lead MPHC, the committee's last monthly meeting will take place in June.  If you are interested or know someone who is, please reach out to me at PHIGPi...@gmail.com

Thanks much!
Carolyn Keefe, Coordinator
Midtown Pine Hills Committee (formerly PHIG)
Committee of Pine Hills Neighborhood Association (PHNA)
