This amazon local deal for cleaning excludes move out services apparently unfortunately.

Tanushree's cleaner will clean the whole house and basement for $250 and can come at 8am monday, does that work for you Annie?

Do you guys think we should get a cleaner. The house looks alright so I don't know if it's worth $250, but I wanted to ask you guys. There is definitely several hours of scrubbing etc required to get it clean, just not sure if Allan Domb cares or not. Let me know what I should do.

Thanks,
Zac

Cool, I'll call them this week to confirm cancel and the amount we are getting back and then I'll send your shares out accordingly. Thanks for dropping off Zac!

Just confirmed that Comcast will not be charging us for July and August (even though we had a 2 year contract). That is great news as that means you guys get more money back from the shared account.

I owe 4/5 of the following:
   - Comcast refund + 2 months no longer paying ($245)
   - Nasser payment for storage over the summer of furniture ($200)

Comes out to 356 total owed to you guys or $89 each. I think it would be easier just to deduct it from my share of the security deposit but if you guys prefer I can paypal/venmo you once I get my first paycheck within the next week or two.

Let me know which option you prefer.

Hi Yoeal,
In the interest of calculation simplicity, if it makes the most sense please send each of us $89.

Alternative, right now the house total budget is at about -$750 (i.e. the house owes this to me). So if you had paid the $445 you owe to me then the total deficit for the house would only be at -$305, meaning we'd each owe $61 more and we'd all be done, pending the amounts on final bills, which might change the balance a bit (right now just using predicted numbers).

Now, by doing it your way, we will all get $89 today (including you keeping your $89), and then we each owe $150 later on if the -$750 ended up being the final net balance. So in the end it's the same net of Matias, Annie, Erika and me owing $61 more and you owing $445 + $61, if that makes sense.

Thus it's a half dozen of one vs 6 of another. It's probably simpler to just pay me the $445 and let me net it out from the house deficits, but whatever is easier for you is fine, either way I'll make sure the excel makes sense.

Just to summarize, other than the $445 Yoeal owes, we are only about $305 over our utility budget of $100/person/month, and if these last months utilities are lower it might even be better than that! And that includes the $200 house cleaning which I paid for (bartered down from $250 because we have we so much furniture and stuff).

I'm still waiting on final PECO, PGW, and water bills from match April and march, so when the final numbers come in we'll know where the house budget lies.

Hope all is well! Thanks again for doing the calcs and talking to comcast yoeal, sorry if this email made things more complicated but hopefully it makes sense.
Thanks,
Zac

Zachary,
Thanks for the information...and for taking care of this huge task!  Did you get the bill that Allan Domb sent yesterday?  If so, did that include everything that we owe?

Thanks!

Hey Guys,

Thank you for taking care of this boring crap. I've been dealing with a lot of admin stuff with my move out, and I can imagine that you are in the same situation, so am grateful to you for taking the extra time to get this done.

I understand that you are trying to figure out the easiest way to do the math and close the numbers.

This is how I understood it:

Money that Yoeal has that belongs to the 'house': $89 x 5 = $445 (Comcast + Nasser)
Money that the 'house' owes to Zac: $750
House net balance after Yoeal sends $445 to Zac: $750 - $445 = $305
Money that each of us has to send to Zac afterwards to close the budget: $305/5 = $61

I think that this is an easier approach than have Yoeal send each of us $89 separately, and then each of us send $150 ($89 + $61) to Zac to cover the $750 deficit.

Yoeal, Zac, does this make sense to you?

Matias

Thanks guys! Hopefully Yoeal can make sure xfinity stops billing him and we can be done with all this. And hopefully we get our full security deposit back!

Hey Guys, I hope you are all doing great! I already settled in the bay area, and I'm starting work on Friday. I'll let you know how that goes.

Do we have an update on the house finances? I sent my $61 to Zac a couple of weeks ago.

Yoeal, did Comcast give you the refund? Please let us know if you need any help from our side.

Finally, has Allan Domb returned our security deposit? I remember it was like 3K.

Hey Guys,

I hope everyone is doing well! I know Matias started work last week, and INSEAD just ended on Wednesday so now I am done with school (potentially) forever too! I am definitely feeling pretty sad about it!
As for 620 pine stuff sorry for the delayed response: I don't know about the comcast situation, but I don't think Allan Domb has returned the security deposit yet. Would someone in the US mind calling them to follow up? It was never mailed to my parents address which I put as my 620 pine forwarding address. Annie and I were emailing what Eric Cassoway or whatever and confirming they had the keys and all that. But now it's been a full month since we moved out. Please let me know,
Thanks,
Zac

Hey Guys, I called Allan Domb today. The person in charge of our house wasn't in the office so I left her a voice message. I'll keep you posted.

Cool, just an update in regards to comcast, on the good side they haven't charged me since we cancelled.

Haven't received any refund from them, and I get quoted a different refund amount every time I call them. I have called customer service for a email confirming cancellation and amount of refund several times but they never actually send it after I hang up. I think it's doubtful that it ever gets processed so we should adjust the amount that I owe accordingly.

Thanks,
Yoeal

Ok cool. Thanks for the updates Matias and Yoeal.
Yoeal- Yeah we never factored in the refund from Comcast. The amount you owed was just the $445 you mentioned in your email ($200 from Nasser and the money you didn't pay for rent because you were going to have to pay July and August). I'm glad they haven't charged us since we canceled.
Hope everyone else is doing well. And hopefully Allan Domb will let us know what's up with the security deposit soon!

Hey Guys,

I called Allan Domb again and they confirmed that they sent the security deposit to the Denver. I assume that this is where Zac's parents live (the address was 967 South something, Denver, Colorado).

They also mentioned that they gave us back $2723. They discounted what we owed from some bills, like water. I'm not sure if this is OK. Zac, would you mind checking?

Yoeal, about Comcast, I'm not sure if they got back to you, but it might just be easier to use their chat support instead of phone. Everything gets registered that way. Let us know if there's anything we can do here so that you get the refund back.

Matias
