Tag combinations not working?

Tag combinations such as t:ai+research appear to be broken - instead of displaying bookmarks with a combination of those two tags, the URL is removing the + sign resulting in a single tag (with no results) - in this case ai+research becomes airesearch

Or put another way when I enter this URL:

https://pinboard.in/u:paulbradshaw/t:ai+research

I am redirected to this URL:

https://pinboard.in/u:paulbradshaw/t:airesearch

This is one of my main use cases for Pinboard, along with sharing bookmarks (now not possible).

👆 this should be an AND, but it functioning like an OR.

Interesting, the bookmark count at the top of the page is correct… it displays the number of bookmarks that are AND.

But, the bookmark list is an OR.

This bug (pinboard.in/u:user/t:tag1/t:tag2/) giving the wrong results should now be fixed. 

Taking a look at the t:ai+research bug right now.

Thanks for bearing with me on these; I updated a lot of 2009-2011 era code and it has flushed out a bunch of inconsistencies and load-bearing bugs in the site.

I used this a fair bit: http://pinboard.in/t:tag1/t:tag2/ but looks like it didn't make the refactor. Any chance it will be re-instated?

Although what Paul in his original post on December 7 also wrote is "along with sharing bookmarks (now not possible)."

That still is the case, resp. sharing is only possible to users that are logged-in to Pinboard. So when sharing to others, this message shows:

Login Required

Only registered users can view this page.

That's not ideal, because sharing tag-combinations is practical for the sender and helpful for the receiver. Furthermore, it's an elegant way to showcase the power of social bookmarking, thus fostering word of mouth for Pinboard.

Therefore +1 for bringing back the ability to share tag-combinations with everyone.

I think Maciej had to gate public bookmarks due to spambots. It's pretty annoying because I would very often send people links to searches of my bookmarks, and now that no longer works.
