I’ve seen this behaviour as well. It does seem to occur most often when bookmarking a retweet containing link, however I’ve seen it happen in other cases as well.

For example, this link:

What is the status for this one? I'd really like for this feature to work since I use twitter to send bookmarks to my account. url shorteners are annoying in so many ways!
