Pinboard Notes, Bundles and Public Profile - Navigation Links

Hi maciej,

I am just starting to find my way around Pinboard, accessing via the web interface rather than a dedicated app.  You asked users to post feature suggestions here so other users could comment, so . . .

There are a couple of things with the Pinboard web interface that had me baffled.  I do not know if these would be easy things to fix. Also, if I have just overlooked something that already exists and there is not actually anything missing, I apologise in advance.

1) Link to User Notes:  pinboard.in/u:USERNAME/from:notes/

I went been all around the houses trying to find the one note that I started and saved (as a place to record comments about bookmarks within a particular bundle).

Eventually I came to the Pinboard Google Group, did a search and found some clues.

So, I have worked out that there are two ways that someone can access all his/her **own** Notes:

- When logged in: notes.pinboard.in

- Depending on privacy settings, other Pinboard users and/or the public can also find any Pinboard user's notes at: pinboard.in/u:USERNAME/from:notes/

I have now put a link in my public profile "story" to my own Notes page so I can find it again (I am pretty sure I will be looking at my Public Profile more than anyone else).

However . . .

1.1  it would be really handy if there was a link to "Notes" for logged-in users alongside these links:

"all ‧ private ‧ public ‧ unread ‧ untagged ‧ starred ‧ tweets"

1.2 Alternatively, the "Notes" link could go over on the right hand side - close to the "Bundles" link.

1.3  If next to the "Bundles" link then it would be a bonus if it could be made visible to others (depending on privacy settings), in the same way as the "Bundles" link on pinboard.in/u:USERNAME/

Viewing the latter page for my account when I was logged out was a surprise, as it showed my public bookmarks rather than my "profile", which was what I was expecting to see.

2) Link to Public Profile:  pinboard.in/u:USERNAME/profile/public/

So, although it is possible to make a "public profile" that "the entire Internet can see" at pinboard.in/u:USERNAME/profile/public/ there does not seem to be a link to it from the user's "public bookmarks" page, which would be handy.

Similarly, but not as important because anyone can get there from selecting an individual tag, a link from the "Public Profile" to pinboard.in/u:USERNAME/ would be useful.

3) Link to Bundles from Public Profile:  pinboard.in/u:USERNAME/bundles/

I am just getting carried away with myself now! Could the link to bundles at pinboard.in/u:USERNAME/ be added to the "Public Profile"?  (ie. just like it is already at pinboard.in/u:USERNAME/ )

My motivation for using Pinboard is primarily to do with sharing some, but definitely not all, bookmarks and to do so in a structured way. That is probably why I am interested in the links to Bundles.

However, the link for user-navigation to their own Notes when logged in would be my top priority as it would be a help to all users, irrespective of how they have configured their privacy settings.
