Is there a way to edit tags for bookmarks all at once or is it
necessary to make the change one bookmark at a time? When I imported
my bookmarks from an html file, the tags that were created included
some odd characters. I'd like to clean this up a bit, but changing
the tags one bookmark at a time is a nightmare.

Thanks,
Josh

You can use the bulk-edit interface - click on the tag you want
changed, and select 'edit' from the bar above your bookmarks. Then
click on select 'all' (or 'this page' if you all the bookmarks you
wanted changed fit on one page). Now enter the new name for your tag
in the tag field and click on 'add tag'. Then repeat this process, but
instead of adding a new tag, remove the old one.

Did these odd characters get introduced in the import? If we there's
some sort of encoding bug on our end, we'd like to fix it. If your
tags were not imported in the way you expected, drop us a line at
sup...@pinboard.in with a copy of the html bookmarks file.

How long should this normally take?  I've followed the first step to add a new tag to the existing bookmarks (1937 of them), however only 402 are showing up in a search for the new tag.  I'm not keen to remove the old tag until I see the numbers for both tags match...
