Is there any way to use pinba engine with Persona Server installed from oficial repo?
Percona doesn't provide development or source package for mysql, but provides sources tarball for each version.
But when i trying install pinba engine based on downloaded source, i get error described in this topic: https://groups.google.com/d/topic/pinba-engine/NgjrUL-9apI/discussion

PS:
Ubuntu 11.04
Percona Server versions: Percona-Server-5.1.57 and Percona-Server-5.5.12-rel20.3 (packages from repo and sources from website)

If it's still compatible with MySQL, yes.

Errr.. what's the difference between 'sources tarball' and 'source package' then?

Most likely the package you use was built with some other options than the sources you use for building the plugin.
Do they have exact list of options they used to build their package available somewhere?
