Hello.

I'm preparing Russian translation for Pinax project. It's almost done,
but I have problems with "nudge" word meaning translation. It appears
in Tasks app - "Nudges" and"nudge task" on task details page, "Nudged
Tasks" on user tasks page, etc.

What functionality lays behind this word?

Thanks.

In this context, "nudge" means to bring attention to, or raise awareness. A real world example is if you were standing in line waiting to get into a theatre, and the person in front of you was not paying attention to the fact the line in front of him had moved up. You might "nudge" that person with your elbow to get their attention.

So in the Pinax context, "nudge" is to raise awareness of the task. Basically, letting other people know that you want attention on it.

Hope this helps,
Pat

Basically, it was intended to prevent comments on a ticket like "any update?" "is this done?" "what's the status?" which I've seen overrun tickets systems elsewhere.
