Installation Help

I am new to pinax and i have tried to install it. But i have
understood nothing from the docs. I have downloaded stable version.
How to start it? Plz help me as i am having hard time.

Which version of Pinax. 0.5.1 or trunk?
What operating system?
Which version of python?

Windows XP
Python 2.5.2

We are about to release 0.7 and the install for that release should work fine under Windows. We should have some windows specific instructions at the site.

In the meantime, I'll do what I can to help you. Where exactly are you stuck?

i have created a django project successfully and then create a
directory within the project and put the files extracted from the
pinax 0.5.1. When i have tried to run the command- python manage.py
syncdb, it shows no module named notification.
Was the process right? What to do?

I just had exactly the same problem and, after following the
instructions, to the letter, at:

http://pinaxproject.com/docs/0.5.1/install.html

everything is now working fine.

I might also suggest checking out the IRC channel at irc.freenode.net
where I asked my original question and had an answer in a couple of
minutes.

OK. Where are you with the pinax setup now? What step are you on in

Just suggestion, I think it's good to use before pinax first read the documentation and already familiar with Django.

Have you edited your manage.py file? Did you make sure that your paths
were right for your environment?
