Hi,

On the pinax github page, it says:

Pinax has always been about a larger ecosystem of reusable apps. Now that Django supports the notion of project templates, there is no longer a need for Pinax's version of the infrastructure to support what we call the starter project.

Does, this mean that new projects should try not to use Pinax anymore and can just start with Django 1.4?

Pinax is not a stopped project but the https://github.com/pinax/pinax repo is.

You don't need the https://github.com/pinax/pinax repo anymore. Just
start with Django 1.4 and start with the starter project you want and
add apps to your requirements file as needed.
