Hi,

Just letting the list know that the Yahoo address book API (http://developer.yahoo.com/addressbook/
) used in the friends app for importing contacts has been deprecated
in favor of the contacts API (using OAuth). It doesn't look like new
app registration is possible, the registration page for BBAuth does
not show the address book scope.

The scopes listed on https://developer.apps.yahoo.com/wsregapp/ are:

* Single Sign On, No user data can be accessed
* Yahoo! Mail with Read/Write access
* Yahoo! Taiwan Lifestyle with Read/Write access
* Yahoo! Music
* Yahoo! Taiwan Knowledge Plus
* BOSS Search Service

Can someone who has successfully registered for this confirm that none
of these is the right scope for importing contacts?

Thanks,
William

I'd actually like to switch to the OAuth method in the new contact import app we're doing at:
