Hi,

Are there any plans for releases in the works?

I'm a technical co-chair for scipy, and we are setting up a symposion site for scipy 2014.

I can certainly do a release if there are updates to the code you need that are not in the last release (although you can always pin to a SHA in GitHub if you need something urgently)

I don't know if it will be needed.

For more context to my question: I noticed https://github.com/PyCon/pycon has a fork of symposion in their repo and I was wondering if you schedule releases with changes merged from there.

It looks like they are using django 1.5 and the main symposion project is listed as compatible with 1.4. For scipy we are sticking with 1.4 but I wouldn't mind upgrading.
