I think they need a presentation anyway so that the schedule I get has all the data needed, like presenter name.

I looked at the 2014 site; for the keynote and the lightning talks,
the solution is to just use the "content override" box on the slot to
fill in details about the talk.

This always comes up, and I still am not sure what people do to fix it, but it generally does get fixed.  "I created a stub" is what I have heard.
