Discussion about Symposion Development Process

Hello All, 

I am the communication co-chair for SciPy 2014.  We have had several issues come up with symposion and we'd like to help address them and develop a better product for next year and going forward.  It also seems like some of these issues have been experienced by other conferences as well. How does the development process work? Is there any way that we can help out with the pull request review process? Is this even the right place to be having this discussion. Thanks for helping cure my ignorance.
