seems like react hooks are yet another 'color' added to the confusion cf. async. 

i do appreciate strong static typing to help be sure to never use things the wrong way.

but it sometimes very unergonomic. and hard to refactor. which pushes people into hacky things. 

our tools and paradigms need to be better. (cf. async by default in kopi presumably dissolves one of such code colors.)
